This is Gold Country — where the Gold Rush was born! Just 30 minutes east of Sacramento — nestled in the foothills between Sacramento and Placerville — is El Dorado Hills, a family community of about 18,000.  Its thriving business community is the  885-acre El Dorado Hills Business Park , housing more than 6,000 employees.

El Dorado Hills real estate includes Serrano, a large master-planned  gated golf course community of 3,500 acres with over 1,000 acres of natural open space, miles of nature trails for biking and hiking, parks, shopping, and an award-winning golf course and country club. Serrano was named 1997 Community of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders’ National Sales & Marketing Council, and in 1997 & 1998 received the Master-Planned Community of the Year award by the Building Industry Association of Superior California.

Highway 50 is the main commute artery to nearby Folsom, as well as Sacramento. The typical commute time to Sacramento for an El Dorado Hills resident is about 30 minutes.
